1Password Announces Subscription Price Increases Effective March 2026

The popular password management service 1Password has begun notifying users of an upcoming price hike for several of its subscription tiers. Scheduled to take effect on March 27, 2026, the adjustments will see some plan costs rise by as much as 33%.

The price adjustments vary depending on the specific plan and billing cycle. For existing subscribers, the new rates will only apply upon their first renewal date following the March 27 deadline.

Individual Monthly Plan: Increasing from $3.99 to $4.99 (a 25% rise).
Family Monthly Plan: Increasing from $6.95 to $7.99 (an approximate 15% rise).
Individual Annual Plan: Increasing from $35.88 to $47.88 (the steepest increase at 33%).
Family Annual Plan: Increasing from $59.88 to $71.98 (a 20% rise).

In an official statement, the company justified the price increase by citing ongoing investments in product development and the integration of new features. Recent updates to the platform include enhanced anti-phishing protections and the expanded capability to securely store and manage diverse payment information.

A critical component of this transition is the requirement for explicit user consent. 1Password has directed subscribers to a specific confirmation page to accept the new pricing terms. Failure to provide consent before the next renewal date—on or after March 27—will result in the automatic cancellation of the subscription.
