❤️WHY WE LOVE THIS RECIPE
We love how easy they are to make and how much they taste like a donut. The cinnamon sugar is wonderful, and the reviews are amazing. Perfect for a weekend morning, Sunday brunch or for any breakfast. If you are a fan of cinnamon sugar donuts, add this recipe to your list.
SWAPS
We make this recipe with buttermilk but you can use milk. You will find that in a lot of our baking recipes we like to use buttermilk. It adds more fat to the recipe and keeps these donuts moist and light. You can use milk, and some people in the comments have used dried buttermilk and said it worked very well. We always encourage people to try things on their own and you can read the comments to see what has worked for others.
CAN I USE A BUTTERMILK SUBSTITUTE?
Yes, you can use a buttermilk substitute but it will not add the extra fat content you get from actual buttermilk. Here is the recipe for the substitute.
⭐TIP
You can half this recipe if you would like, we did that recently and made 7 muffins. So that is an option if you only want to make a few.
