Lenovo officially announced the global launch of the Legion Tab (8.8″, 5) at MWC 2026, serving as the direct successor to the previous year’s model. The device features an 8.8-inch 3K LCD display with a 3040×1904 resolution and a 16:10 aspect ratio. While the screen size remains consistent with its predecessor, the refresh rate has been upgraded to a 165 Hz variable rate, supported by a 144 Hz touch sample rate and 750 nits of peak brightness.
The tablet is powered by the 3nm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset and Adreno 840 GPU. High-performance hardware configurations include up to 16GB of 10667Mbps LPDDR5T RAM and up to 512 GB of UFS 4.1 Pro internal storage. To manage thermal performance during intensive gaming, Lenovo integrated an updated Legion Coldfront Vapor cooling system, which reportedly improves heat dissipation efficiency by 32% over the previous generation.
Running on Android 16, the Legion Tab utilizes Lenovo AI Engine+ software solutions. This suite leverages artificial intelligence to optimize touch sensitivity based on real-time scene analysis and enhance audio performance by boosting critical in-game sounds. It also provides AI-powered noise cancellation for clearer voice chats. A notable design feature is the inclusion of dual USB-C ports, which support simultaneous charging and the use of peripherals.

Additional specifications include 50MP cameras on both the front and rear, a 9000mAh battery with 68W fast charging, and Wi-Fi 7 connectivity. The device weighs 360g and will be available in Eclipse Black, Glacier White, and Surge colors.
The Legion Tab is scheduled for an April 2026 release with a starting price of 999 Euros (approximately $1,178). It will debut in China as the Legion Y700 (2026) later this month.
